  • Ivan Muir: Nivara Lounge, Hamilton

“North of Bombay” Ukulele group performed to an enthusiastic crowd at Nivara Lounge on the 11th June 2016. I had the pleasure of listening to their latest CD a couple of weeks before the gig, and was really impressed with all the compositions on it. There were songs with great lyrics, that you can have a dance to or just enjoy listening to. Some meaningful up to date topics are sung about as well. Loved the show, keep it up guys, regards Ivan Muir, Nivara Lounge, Hamilton, New Zealand.

  • Graduating to an originals band

Well, we’re not exactly giving up on covers. However, the band has increasingly dedicated its practice time to working on original material. In late 2012 we spent some time recording at Montage Studio in Ponsonby as a first step in putting some of this material “out there”.
